Juneteenth Freedom Day

The Heckscher Museum is happy to be part of this community event held in Heckscher Park and also to stay open late until 6 pm in coordination with this special day!

Meet and work with local artist Alan Cooley! In honor of Juneteenth, Alan will provide family-friendly art activities inspired by newly acquired works of art by Mikalene Thomas and Wardell Milan. Create a unique “glittery” collage celebrating freedom, positivity, unity and culture!
