Salute 250

New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation – Long Island Region will be hosting a signature Celebration Event over Memorial Day Weekend at Jones Beach to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. As part of this celebration, a historical village of local re-enactors will be showcased over the holiday weekend. The performers will demonstrate various events in history and illustrate the way of life in 1776. The event will also feature a rolling panel exhibit highlighting Long Island’s role in the Revolutionary War.
